My name is Tania Munro and I am the proud owner of Total Rhythm Dance Studio in Carleton Place, ON.

Growing up in El Salvador, I started dancing at the early age of 6. I have continued my love of dancing by formally becoming a dance teacher in May 2001. I have been privileged enough to study dancing with some of the finest dancers in Canada. Dancing has always been my passion and I consider myself lucky to work doing something I love.

Teaching for me is a way of sharing with others all the joys that dancing has brought into my life. I offer my students professional instruction in a relaxed and private environment. You can expect a positive attitude, dedication, patience, and most importantly, guaranteed results.

Kara Parisien

My name is Stephanie, and I have studied and performed belly dance in the Ottawa & Hull area as a student, soloist, and troupe member since 2003. I have a background in theatre, fashion design, and early childhood education, and have always found ways to incorporate performing, costuming, and teaching into my daily life.

Since moving to Carleton Place in 2020, teaching dance has been a way for me to find my place in the community and connect with locals. Dance has always been my happy place, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to share it. I strive, in particular, to connect with newcomers to dance by providing inclusive, beginner-friendly lessons. 

My name is Kara. I have loved to dance for as long as I can remember. My mom says I was dancing before I could walk. I have dabbled in a few different types of dance growing up. I tried ballet, tap, jazz, and step dancing.  Eleven years ago I  came to Carleton Place from Ottawa with my family.  I wanted to get into shape after having twin boys so I tried Zumba for the first time, and loved it. About a year later a position opened up at the studio to teach Zumba. I was offered the position, so I went to Kingston for training and received my Zumba certificate. That was July 2013 I have been running Zumba classes at the Studio ever since. My dance experience has grown since being at the studio, thanks to Tania, I now have some ballroom dance experience as well.  I am grateful to be part of Total Rhythm Dance Studio.

My name is  Svitlana Marchuk, and I am the proud mother of two wonderful daughters. I am also a world champion in modern dance in the Funk style, having won the title in 2009.
 
I started dancing at the age of seven, and it quickly became my lifelong passion. In 2007, I began my career as a dance instructor in my hometown of Dnipro, Ukraine. For me, teaching dance is an opportunity to help people connect with their bodies and find joy in movement. I am dedicated to sharing my love and knowledge of dance with children and adults alike.  I look forward to teaching again here in my new hometown of Carleton Place, Canada.
